Getting Started: Installation Instructions for iReport
First-Time Setup: The steps below are needed only the first time you run iReport. After setup, the app will open normally with just a double-click.
Why do I see a warning when opening
iReport?
Both Windows and macOS will usually display a security warning the first time you open software that is not signed with an annual developer certificate. These certificates must be purchased and renewed every year from third-party authorities, and they increase costs.
To keep iReport affordable for teachers, I chose not to use these certificates. Instead, iReport is distributed directly under my name: Ruben Zamar – sole developer of iReport, IB Math & Computer Programming Teacher, Canada (BC).
Because I am the only person who develops and maintains iReport, no third parties have access to the source code. This ensures the integrity and security of the software.
Once you choose to trust the app and install it, you can use it normally without restrictions.

If this happens, simply runRunMeFirst.commandagain — it should complete successfully on the second attempt.
